DanPumps A/S was founded in 2013 with a focus on supplying pumps to utility companies and industries in Denmark. After being part of SonFlow, DanPumps became an independent company again in November 2023, fully dedicated to the development and manufacture of pumps tailored to meet the specific needs of our customers.

DanPumps A/S: Now an Independent Company with a Stronger Focus on Pump Production

Following several years of steady growth and increasing demand for our pumps and plate heat exchangers, we recognized in the autumn of 2023 that, to optimize the operational efficiency of our pump division and fully tap into market potential, it was essential to establish the pump division as an independent company.

DanPumps History

DanPumps’ pumps have been on the market for many years, though they have been sold under different brand names over time. Initially sold as Pumpex, the name was later changed to PX Pumps following a restructuring.

In May 2010, Sondex A/S acquired the PX Pumps company and continued it under the name Sondex Pumps. In 2013, DanPumps A/S was established as a Danish sales company, partially owned by Sondex A/S. Later, in 2016, Sondex A/S—including DanPumps A/S—was acquired by Danfoss A/S. In April 2017, Aage Søndergaard Nielsen bought back the pump assets from Danfoss and re-established DanPumps A/S as an independent company. In September 2019, DanPumps A/S changed its name to SonFlow A/S as the company expanded its production to include plate heat exchangers.

Today, DanPumps A/S is once again an independent company, selling pumps to customers and distributors in over 40 countries worldwide. These markets have been developed through many years of collaboration based on high quality, reliable delivery, and competitive pricing. With a wide range of pump sizes, DanPumps offers customized solutions optimized for specific projects. Before delivery, our pumps are thoroughly tested at our facilities to ensure they meet the desired operational points and do not overload circuit breakers.
